The Civic Caucus is a Minnesota based organization offering a new model for public affairs dialog, by

   citizens in public affairs without making
   extraordinary demands on their time

~ hosting a unique library of  interviews with
   past and present political figures
 
~ encouraging participation (feedback) by
   citizens across political ideology
 
~ using electronic communication to educate
   and involve participants from their homes
 
~ arriving at recommended solutions to a
   variety of issues that affect us.

~ inviting participants to sign on in support of

Legislature shouldn't draw its own district boundaries
      Position Report - 4-18-08
Because of "an inherent conflict of interest" in writing its own election rules the Minnesota Legislature should give someone else the job of drawing legislative and congressional districts, the Civic Caucus recommended today in a statement to the Legislature.

Change system for selecting judges
      Position Report - 2-24-08
To preserve public confidence in an impartial judiciary and to minimize outside influence, judges in Minnesota should be initially selected via appointment based on merit; they should be systematically evaluated, and be subject to retention elections after each term.
